Description
Deer in the Headlights comments on the incongruous nature of feral animals, bitumen and machines within the pristine setting of our country’s natural habitat. The work was inspired by a deer carcass observed on the side of the road in the Royal National Park, the result of being hit by a car during the night. Upon exiting a natural animal trail through the bush both the deer and the road seemed strangely out of place.
